The NavigateCancer Foundation offers free online consultation services. This requires creating a personal account
with us. The reason is for your protection. Email is neither secure nor confidential. Therefore, we have gone to great lengths to develop a way that you can discuss your private health information with the full security protections this website service has to offer. It is set up similar to your online banking account.
You will create a personal account and then login to your account each time you wish to communicate with your navigator.
In just three, easy steps you will have access to free and confidential, expert cancer care guidance.
- Complete a health profile. There are seven questions that must be answered before you can communicate with the navigation team. The rest is voluntary. You only provide the information that you are willing to share. But keep in mind, the more complete the health profile, the better and more efficiently we will be able to help you.
- Ask your questions. After your health profile is completed, a navigator will contact you to have an initial free "meet and greet" telephone session to learn about you and your situation. After the telephone consultation, you can submit your questions online to your navigator at any time. Once they have been answered, you will receive an email notification instructing you to login to your account to review your consult and/or messages.
"Without NCF, I think I would have been a blubbery mess speaking to the doctor only reflecting emotion and would not have been productive. Instead I took the "you work for me approach" and walked away feeling powerful instead of powerless."
